The Uvdal Stave Church is one of the oldest wooden Christian churches still standing in Norway. Built after 1168, it stands out due to its architectural features, including a cruciform shape made up of an elongated chancel and an extra center column. Inside, the walls are decorated with paintings, wood paneling, benches with ornately crafted sidewalls, and two scary half-masks. Outside, the building stands majestically against the backdrop of Nore og Uvdal Valley. Visitors can take in the church's old Norwegian charm and admire its spectacular architecture.
