Bukkekjerka is an impressive Norwegian project designed by MORFEUS Arkitekter, located along the Norwegian Scenic Route in Andøy. This 260m2 site was created to highlight the beauty of its surroundings; from the fierce North Sea to the South facing sacred ground to the steep surrounding mountains. Different elements were introduced into the landscape to encourage further exploration of the area, such as parking service functions, a bonfire, seating benches, picnic areas, paths and a footbridge outlining lighthouses. The main architectural expressions consist of folded concrete slabs which enhance the jagged mountain peaks in the area. Mirrored windows provide visitors with private views of the sea and the mountain peaks while also blending the built with the surroundings. This awe-inspiring project is sure to be enjoyed as a unique experience by all.
