Hoven is a great short hiking destination located on the island of Gimsøya in the Lofoten Islands, Norway. With an elevation of only 368 meters and an easy rate of ascent, Hoven is one of the most accessible mountain hikes in the Lofoten Isles. On a clear day, hikers will be rewarded with panoramic views of Vesterålen Islands to the northeast. Hiking up Hoven during a summer evening is particularly beautiful as you can witness the midnight sun at the summit. To begin your adventure, drive to northern Gimsøya and park at the golf course before heading to the backside of the maintenance building to find the trail up the mountain.
