The Utah State Capitol is a bustling and vibrant place full of history and beauty. Since the magnificent building opened in 1916, it has been the center of state government in Utah. This iconic landmark has recently completed one of the largest historical preservation projects in the United States, preserving its stunning original artwork and architecture. Visitors to the Capitol can take self-guided tours, or join in on one of the guided ones run by the volunteer docent team.
