Directions

Cascata dos Anjos (Angel Waterfall) is a thrilling sight situated in the parish of Anjos, municipality of Ponta do Sol, on the Portuguese island of Madeira. Visitors can witness firsthand the majesty of nature, as they gaze upon the thunderous flow of water as it cascades over the rocky cliff into the tranquil blue waters below.

Upon arriving, the roadway appeared closed off but our local friend drove us through the tunnel and we discovered parked cars and many tourists grabbing their shots. Can be a dangerous location because of wet roadway. Proceed with caution and at your own risk!

Time of day: sunset for photos (the area gets very busy so be prepared to potentially wait your turn for a shot) Months to go: year round Gear to bring: wide angle lens, zoom lens
