What to expect:

In the very heart of the city, you'll find a peaceful little island on Hoan Kiem Lake where Ngoc Son Temple awaits. To reach this tranquil sanctuary, you'll cross the iconic, bright red Huc Bridge, a perfect spot for photos. Inside, you can feel the history, learn about the legend of the giant turtle that guards the lake, and even see a preserved specimen, which is truly impressive.

How to get here:

Find yourself an accommodation in the old quarter. Most of the tourist highlights are located there, and you can easily reach everything on foot.

There's a small entrance fee of 50,000 VND to enter the temple. (or as we did: just enjoy the view from outside)
