About the photospot

Heading up to the south side of the higher floors of the YaoMaei carpark and you'll have the angle straight down the road of Temple Street.

Head over at dusk and you'll see the market lights on with the big banners.

It's also a solid spot for a timelapse showing how they'd put it all together...

Quick word of warning though that the security guards are a bit twitchy when it comes to photographers so I'd not walk in openly carrying your camera and try to be in and out fairly efficiently.
