The Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia, commonly known as Barcelona's Cathedral, is an iconic gothic structure located in the heart of bustling Catalonia Spain. Built by architect Arnau Bargués, this 300 ft long chapel is home to many sacred pieces of history such as the crypt of long-time saint Eulalia, who was martyred in the public square where a legend states that a miraculously snowfall appeared to cover her from the enraged Romans. Inside the church lies an array of unique creatures in the form of gargoyles high up on the roof, and 13 white geese kept in the secluded gothic cloister. This cathedral is also home to the tomb of Saint Raymond of Penyafort, Count Ramon Berenguer I, bishops Salvador Casañas y Pagés and Arnaud de Gurb and the celebrated "Holy Christ of Lepanto” crucifix said to come from the time of the famous Battle of Lepanto in 1571. For those looking for an epic experience, pay a visit to the awe inspiring Barcelona Cathedral, it will be one you won't forget!
