Playa de la Granadella is one of those places that takes your breath away. It’s tucked into a sheltered cove between Jávea and Moraira, surrounded by pine-covered cliffs and protected by rocky headlands so the water stays crystal clear and calm. The beach itself is pebble and gravel with just enough sand to lie down comfortably and it has been voted among Spain’s top beaches more than once. There are shower and toilet facilities, lifeguards in season, sunbeds and umbrellas for hire, and a few restaurants just behind the beach with views that make every snack feel special.

Because of its beauty and reputation, Granadella fills up quickly in summer. Parking is limited, access can be restricted when too crowded and arriving early in the morning or later in the day is usually your best bet.
