This is one of my favourite views in all of South Devon, looking back over the winding River Dart to Totnes.

This spot is really easy to get to, and it’s on the public footpath between Totnes and the Sharpham Estate.

As you pull in to the Sharpham Estate, you’ll see fields either side and a car pull in point not far beyond the gates. I always come here for sunrise so I generally park here and then stroll down the steep hill until you get to the gate and footpath sign. Then left, and then after a short walk along the path, you’ll see this view and I’m sure you’ll agree, it is stunning!
