Message from Kieran - Exploring Scotland

The Kelpies are massive steel horse-head sculptures located in Scotland between Falkirk and Grangemouth. Standing at 30 meters tall, they represent the strength and endurance of mythical water horses known as kelpies. Designed by sculptor Andy Scott, these sculptures pay homage to the heavy horses that played a vital role in Scottish industry and economy. The Kelpies were completed in 2013 and have become a popular tourist attraction, drawing nearly one million visitors in their first year. With their striking design and historical significance, The Kelpies stand as proud guardians at the eastern gateway of the Forth and Clyde Canal.
