Dunrobin Castle, located in the Highland area of Scotland, is a stately home and the family seat of the Earl of Sutherland. Originally built in the Middle Ages, the castle was extensively remodeled by Sir Charles Barry between 1835 and 1850 in the Scottish Baronial style. With 189 rooms, it's the largest castle in the northern Highlands. The castle features a mix of architectural styles, including French Renaissance influences, and boasts beautiful gardens inspired by the Gardens of Versailles. Visitors can explore the castle's rich history, impressive interiors, and extensive grounds, making it a must-visit destination for history buffs and architecture enthusiasts alike.
