Town at late Garda

Limone Sul Garda – A Charming Lakeside Town

Limone Sul Garda is a small and picturesque town on the shores of Lake Garda, full of charm and Italian flair. The narrow streets, colorful houses, and stunning lake views make it a perfect place to stroll and soak in the relaxed lifestyle. Along the waterfront promenade, you’ll find cozy cafés, restaurants, and little shops, all inviting you to take your time and enjoy the atmosphere.

In the heart of the town, there’s a small harbor, from where you can take boat tours across the lake, for example, to reach the other side of Lake Garda.

Charming town with sport climbing

Arco – A Charming Town with a Stunning Castle

Arco is one of those places that feels like it has a little bit of everything. The historic old town is perfect for a relaxing stroll, with its narrow streets, cozy cafes, and beautifully preserved buildings. I loved wandering around and soaking in the atmosphere—it’s the kind of place that feels straight out of a postcard.

The real highlight, though, is definitely Arco Castle. Perched high on a rocky hill, it’s a must-visit. The views from up there are incredible, and if you’re into photography like I am, it’s worth bringing a drone—the castle looks spectacular from the air, but the view from the top is also impressive with the rugged landscape and rolling hills in the background.

More to Explore

If you’re into outdoor adventures, Arco is known as Italy’s rock climbing capital, so you’ll see climbers scaling cliffs all over the area. There are also plenty of biking trails nearby... one of the best routes is the Pista Ciclabile Arco - Dro - Sarche, which offers stunning views along the way.

Arco has this perfect mix of history, nature, and charm, and I’d definitely recommend stopping by.

Next, we head to Lago di Ledro, a beautiful lake offering a wide range of activities. Depending on your arrival time, you can take a walk through the forest and admire the sculptures made from natural materials, or you can simply dive into the lake and enjoy the rest of the day.

Ledro Land Art: Art and Nature Combined

Ledro Land Art is a unique open-air art park located in the beautiful Valle di Ledro. It’s a perfect mix of art and nature, offering a 1.5-kilometer walking trail through a peaceful forest filled with creative sculptures and installations. The path is easy and suitable for all ages, making it an enjoyable stop whether you’re traveling alone, with friends, or with family.

There’s a small parking area near the entrance: park here

Along the route, you’ll discover various art pieces made from natural materials like wood, stone, and branches, all blending harmoniously with the environment. Some of the standout sculptures include a giant bird’s nest, intricate wooden spirals, and a whimsical treehouse.

My personal favorite, though, was the giant gorilla. It’s a massive and detailed figure that looks impressive. It really stood out to me, and I couldn’t resist stopping for a few photos ... it’s definitely one of the coolest pieces in the park!

Then, you can spend the night in a glamping tent here, where you'll have a stunning view of the lake right from your tent. It's the perfect way to immerse yourself in nature while enjoying a comfortable stay.

Best Ledro Camping – A Unique Glamping Experience

We stayed at Best Ledro Camping in a Palafitta tent, a two-story glamping tent that offered comfort and style. The tent had everything we needed: a shower, toilet, and even a small kitchenette.

The best part? The view of Lake Ledro right from our tent—it was absolutely stunning! The atmosphere was peaceful, and the location was perfect for a relaxing yet adventurous stay. If you're looking for a unique experience with modern amenities, this place is definitely worth a visit!
