Vøringsfossen is one of the most famous and beautiful waterfalls in Norway. Located in the Hardanger and Hardangerfjord regions, it plunges down more than 180 metres at the top of the Måbødalen valley. A footbridge gives visitors a breathtaking view from both sides and a 19th century mountain trail leads to its valley floor. Vøringsfossen is the perfect stop for anyone touring the fjords or travelling between Oslo and Bergen by car, and offers lots of parking lots and viewing platforms to admire the stunning waterfall. Those who want a truly immersive experience can even stay overnight in Fossli Hotel, which is located nearby and provides an ethereal stroll along the waterfall for guests in the morning or evening.
