🏔 Capanna Monte Bar, Ticino (CAS)
☀️ The perfect (spring) getaway when you're looking for mind-blowing views over Lake Lugano, want to enjoy good weather or when you're done with the snow in other parts of Switzerland. The hike itself is already spectacular, but watching the sunset/sunrise over the lake and its mountain range is a must do. I highly recommend spending a night at @capanna_montebar to make the whole experience even better. The hut lays around 1600masl, but you can also add the Monte Bar peak, which is an additional 200m up🙌🏻

ℹ️ Start your hike at the bus stop, Albumo di Corticiasca. From here, it's a short hike through the forest and over the meadows. You can hike the same way down, as you came up, or use a hiking map to hike down another path. This hike will cover the shortest route up to the mountain. There are multiple ways up, so if you're looking for more of a challenge, be creative 😉 The first day, we walked over 15km and 1200m up, the second day 5km and 500m down
