This beach, situated in Funchal, is the largest beach on the island of Madeira. The long promenade is perfect for relaxation or a romantic walk. A notable feature of Praia Formosa is a large rock with stairs, which you can climb to watch the sunset and enjoy the surrounding views. This rock also serves as a fun photo spot and a delightful place to unwind. Although Praia Formosa is located on the edge of Funchal and may not feel like the most secluded beach in Madeira, it remains one of the best beaches on the island.
