Forest Falls Hiking Trail near Graskop is a classic Mpumalanga walk that feels peaceful and scenic from start to finish. The hike is about 7 km return and typically takes around 3 to 4 hours at a relaxed pace as you follow shaded forest paths to the wide waterfall and pretty rock pools. It’s very Instagram worthy with big forest trees, river views and that classic Panorama Route landscape. There is a permit fee of around R20 per person to hike, and it is open all year round during daylight hours. The terrain is best suited to walkers comfortable on uneven ground and while kids can do it with care pets are generally not recommended because of the natural forest environment.
