The Castlepoint Lighthouse is a scenic spot for holidays and a great landmark to explore in New Zealand. Built in 1913, this 23-metre light tower with cylindrical shape stands tall at 52 metres above the sea level, with its white tower structure and grey lantern dome illuminating the North Island. The lighthouse sends out a triple flash every 45 seconds that can be seen across 35 kilometres and has a range of 26 nautical miles (48km). It was formally lit for the first time on 12 January 1913 and is now managed from a central control room in Wellington. Visitors are invited to get up close and admire this remarkable lighthouse for a unique experience!
