Tucked away in the backwoods of central Vancouver Island, the Snow Creek Recreation Site is home to a cluster of raw, rarely-seen waterfalls that offer a true taste of untamed wilderness. Surrounded by dense second-growth forests, these falls tumble through steep ravines and moss-draped canyons, creating scenes that are both wild and incredibly photogenic—if you're willing to work for them.

Access is part of the adventure. The area is unmaintained, with no formal trails—just rough routes, tangled deadfall, and steep forested slopes. Reaching and photographing these waterfalls is a challenge: you'll need to scramble, bushwhack, and thread your way through logs and debris just to find a stable spot for your tripod. But when you do? The payoff is magical—cascades of clear water framed by deep greens and textured rock walls.

If you continue along the Taylor Main logging road there are a number of waterfalls that are worth exploration.
