The Rosewall Creek Trail is a beautiful 6 km out-and-back hike near Comox Valley, British Columbia, offering a mix of old and second-growth forest, winding trails, and picturesque waterfalls. The trail is moderately challenging, with some exposed roots and slight inclines. Still, it’s a great hike for anyone looking to enjoy the lush greenery and peaceful sounds of rushing water. While the entire hike leads to the main Rosewall Creek Falls, you’ll also pass Bannon Falls, another scenic waterfall.

The secondary waterfall is particularly fun to photograph, especially when framing it with the river in the foreground. The best time to visit is after a decent rainfall, when the water flow is intense but not overwhelming, creating beautiful cascades. The trail is popular for hiking, birdwatching, and running, so expect to see other outdoor enthusiasts along the way. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash.

For those looking for a more leisurely walk, the shorter route to the picnic area and washrooms is a good alternative, with some wheelchair-accessible sections. The left side of the creek is washed out and unsuitable for hiking, so stick to the right side for the best experience.
