If you're up for a scenic 2 km walk along Lake Lucerne, start at Lucerne’s main station. From there, pass the striking KKL Congress Centre, an architectural highlight, and follow the lakeshore path. The route takes you past boat docks, tree-lined promenades, and picturesque views of the water with the mountains in the background.

As you continue, you’ll reach the peaceful Tribschen area, where the Richard Wagner Museum is located in a lakeside park. It’s a lovely spot to take a break, enjoy the view, or explore the composer’s former home.

For your return to the city, you have several options. You can walk back the same way, take a bus from a nearby stop, or, if the timing works out, hop on a boat for a short ride back to Lucerne’s center.
