Ashton under Hill is a quaint English village located in Worcestershire. It is a picturesque site situated at the bottom of Bredon Hill, boasting panoramic views of its rolling surroundings. The village's history dates back to at least 900 years ago when its church (St Barbie's) was built and was allegedly able to protect villagers from lightning strikes. Until 1931 the village was part of the neighbouring county of Gloucestershire. Today, Ashton under Hill remains a popular destination for sightseers and tourists; visitors can take in the beautiful local landscape and enjoy the amenities offered by the nearby community centre. There is also a railway station which is open on selected lines, as well as two primary schools—Bredon Hill Academy and Ashton Under Hill First, both having recently been given an 'Outstanding' Ofsted rating.
