Pacaya is an active volcano near Antigua that can be done as a day trip. If you are short on time and can't do the overnight hike with Acatenango, then Pacaya is a great option. From the peak, you can see the surrounding volcanos of Fuego and Aqua.

The hike itself takes around 2-3 hours but with transportation times, the whole activity takes around 6 hours.

Pacaya itself it still an active volcano and you can see some natural vents steaming on your way up.
