Scotland's Secret Bunker is a former nuclear bunker turned Cold War museum located in St Andrews, Scotland. Originally built in 1952 as RAF Troywood, it served as a radar station and later transferred to the Civil Defence Corps in the 1960s. The facility features a cinema, broadcasting capabilities, and a telephone switchboard. In 1993, it was decommissioned and transformed into a museum. An interesting incident occurred in 2004 when a man broke into the bunker using a JCB digger, leading to a three-day standoff with armed police officers before he was committed to psychiatric care. Overall, the bunker offers a unique glimpse into Scotland's Cold War history and is a popular tourist attraction for those curious about its secretive past.
