Parc Boisé is one of the green lungs of Le Port. It's a rare stretch of trees and open space in a town better known for its port activity and dry heat. Locals come here to walk, picnic, or let kids run on the grass under tall tamarind and filao trees. It’s not a tourist destination, and that’s its strength. What you get is an easy, authentic place to cool off and slow down.

There are benches scattered along shaded paths, basic playground equipment, and usually a few locals playing dominoes or pétanque in the quieter corners. On weekends, families bring food and stay for hours, making it feel more like an outdoor living room than a formal park.

👉 Pick up snacks or samoussas from a nearby boulangerie and come just before sunset. You’ll get golden light through the trees and a real slice of local life.
