Höfði House in Reykjavík, Iceland is famous for hosting the 1986 Reykjavík Summit between President Ronald Reagan and General Secretary Mikhail Gorbachev, a key moment in ending the Cold War. Built in 1909, it was initially the residence of the French consul and later served as the British Embassy. The house has a spooky local legend about a ghostly inhabitant, adding to its mystique. Today, Höfði is used for formal receptions and events, with the flags of the US and Soviet Union still hanging inside to mark the historic summit.
