We are delighted to share our updated pricing for 2024-2025, which now includes breakfast served at Heradsskolinn Hostel, just 150 meters from Bjork. Wa have made several enhancements to ensure a more comfortable and enjoyable stay for our guests.
Our guesthouse has a rich history, lovingly preserved by us, Alexander and Kristofer, who are not only the owners but also brothers passionate about hospitality. The house was originally built by Gudjon Samuelsson, one of Iceland's most renowned architects, known for designing iconic buildings such as Hallgrimskirkja and the National Theatre of Iceland. His attention to detail and dedication to quality craftsmanship are evident throughout the property, and we have worked hard to maintain these historical elements while adding modern comforts.
Bjork Guesthouse was constructed using timber from the 1930 Parliament Celebration at Thingvellir, adding a unique historical significance to its charm. We have recently added a new ventilation system to ensure fresh air throughout the property and spacious new showers for your comfort. Additionally, we now offer an honesty bar stocked with a variety of sodas and drinks, providing a convenient refreshment option for our guests.
Our accommodations can host up to 18 people across seven cozy rooms. We have five rooms designed for two guests each and two spacious family rooms for four guest each. Each room combines the charm of our historic house with the comfort of modern amenities.
Guests can also enjoy our large, green garden, now furnished with new benches, perfect for relaxation and outdoor gatherings. The surrounding area offers additional attractions, such as the highly acclaimed Lindin restaurant, which serves unique local dishes like reindeer burger and arctic char, and the rejuvenating geothermal baths at Fontana Spa.

Even though it's very simply designed, we really loved this hotel on the Golden Circle.
It's located right in the heart of the area, near Laugarvatn, which puts you just minutes from the Fontana geothermal baths and gives you a front-row seat for the Northern Lights on clear winter nights! Plus, you're just a short drive from the main attractions on the Golden Circle, Gullfoss, Geysir, and Thingvellir National Park.
The rooms are modern and comfortable. We had a self-check-in, which made things super easy, free parking outside, a bar of homemade chocolate was waiting for us in our room, and they also gave us a discount code to book local attractions. Overall, we really loved our stay here, and it was very affordable too!
