You can take the suggested guided tour to visit many historical sights in the city center, or explore on your own — walking to all the locations will take approximately 3 hours. After the tour or your walk, relax in the park and stop for a drink or a bite at Boho Bar. You’ll also find a restaurant near the fortress. Another great idea is to watch the sunset from Boho Bar whenever you have free time.

If you want to experience the shops and the vibe of the city center, take a walk along Knez Mihailova Street, where you’ll find shopping, cafés, and street performers. You can also find excellent restaurants in the Stari Grad area of the city center.

Visit the oldest street in Belgrade, where you can also enjoy a nice dinner. I had dinner at one of the many restaurants there, which often feature live Serbian bands. A little tip: don’t focus too much on the singers, as they usually come to play near your table and will leave once you give them a tip. The street itself is beautiful and a fantastic spot for photos.

If Bar Mystic isn’t too busy, you can also check out Smiley, which is nearby. Either way, both bars tend to be busier on weekends, but you can always stop for a drink and chat with gay travelers and locals.
