The iconic red boat shed at Glenorchy is a popular photography spot as it is a pop of vibrant colour against the backdrop of the mountains, set on Lake Wakatipu. The Glenorchy wharf is also a beautiful location for photos, rain or shine.

Glenorchy is a small, quiet town located an hour from bustling Queenstown. It’s a beautiful scenic setting with boutique accommodation options, horse riding tours and scenic flights.

Remember: Be courteous to others on the trail and do not ‘hog’ that ‘insta-spot’ for too long!

Personal tip: Glenorchy is more about the journey than the destination. The drive is scenic and beautiful as you drive alongside Lake Wakatipu. Enjoy the journey!
