Lóndrangar is a pair of impressive rock formations in Iceland that have been shaped by erosion. These volcanic plugs stand tall at 75 and 61 meters, making them quite a sight to behold. Located on the southern coast of the Snæfellsnes peninsula, they rise above the ocean and can be seen from Malarrif and Hellnar. Legend has it that the taller cliff was climbed back in 1735, while the smaller one wasn't conquered until 1938. The surrounding area is home to various bird species, including black-legged kittiwakes, puffins, and northern fulmars. In the past, Lóndrangar served as a natural harbor for fishing boats. So, if you're ever in Iceland, don't miss the chance to marvel at these magnificent rock formations!
