The Daly Waters Pub is the kind of place you just have to visit - it’s as Aussie as it gets, and honestly, such a vibe. Known for its iconic history, this pub has been around forever and is practically a legend in the NT. The moment you step in, you’re surrounded by walls absolutely covered in bras, IDs, hats, and all kinds of random stuff that travellers (like myself) have left behind. It’s tradition—so if you’re game, donate a bra or an old ID and leave your mark (you may find my bikini top or the sticker of my troopy on the front door)!
You can’t visit without trying their famous barramundi—seriously, it’s delicious—and the live music at night makes it the perfect spot to hang. The pub’s got this super friendly, laid-back energy that makes you feel right at home. Plus, they’ve got camping options out back, so you can stay the night and not worry about heading off after a couple of cold ones.
Oh, and don’t forget to snap a photo out the front with the iconic Daly Waters Pub sign—it’s practically a rite of passage. Whether you’re passing through or making a night of it, this place is a true NT gem.
