Milk Beach is an absolute gem – easily one of the best spots in Sydney to watch the sunset over the harbour. We're talking: the sky glowing golden, the Harbour Bridge and Opera House sparkling in the distance, and the water lapping at your feet. It’s so iconic, no wonder it’s a fave for both travellers and locals.

The beach is small but perfect, nestled in a protected bay that’s amazing for swimming. It’s got such a chilled vibe, so pack a picnic, roll out a blanket, and soak it all in. Honestly, a cheese platter and a bottle of bubbly wouldn’t go astray here (from personal experience haha.

You’re also right near Strickland House, a stunning historic estate worth a peek, and Milk Beach is part of the Hermitage Foreshore Walk – one of my all-time favourite trails. The walk takes you past secluded beaches and gorgeous harbour views. It’s such a vibe, especially in the late arvo when the light’s soft and dreamy.

There’s no lifeguard here, so just keep an eye on the conditions, and unfortunately, it’s not pet-friendly. Parking can be a bit tricky, so get in early or be prepared to walk a little – it’s totally worth it.
