Giōji Temple is a quaint moss temple nestled among bamboo groves and maple trees. Legend has it that the dancer Giō sought refuge here with her family after falling out of favor with Taira no Kiyomori. It has the most beautiful moss garden and cooling temperatures in summer. Absolutely a hidden gem worth exploring for those seeking a tranquil retreat in nature.
