Takayama Matsuri Yatai Kaikan is a museum showcasing the stunning floats used in the town's traditional festivals. You can get up close to these elaborate floats and learn about the history and craftsmanship behind them. If you can't make it to the festival, this is a great alternative to experience at least part of it. Tickets cost 880¥ as of Dec 2024.
