Las Grietas is a huge 600m high crack formed by the water on the slope of the Montaña Blanca volcano that extends for about 20m through a narrow corridor of solidified lava to its final wall.

For me, the most interesting is the first one, but you can walk through all of them through a very narrow natural and irregular corridor, it will be like entering a tongue of lava!

It's only a few meters from the parking, the trail it's super easy and it ends just where Las Grietas begin. You can also climb up the side to the top of the lava tongue and see the cracks from above, just be careful and put on comfy shoes because the gravel and the sand are slippery.

From there you'll also have incredible views of the island between Puerto del Carmen and Arrecife.

Las Grietas è una zona ricca di canyon che si sono formati dall'acqua sul pendio del vulcano Montaña Blanca che si estende per circa 20 m attraverso uno stretto corridoio di lava solidificata fino alla sua parete finale.

Per me il più interessante è il primo, ma potrete percorrerli tutti attraverso un corridoio naturale molto stretto e irregolare, sarà come entrare in una lingua di lava!

Dista pochi metri dal parcheggio, il sentiero è facilissimo e termina proprio dove iniziano Las Grietas. Si può anche risalire lateralmente fino alla sommità della lingua lavica e vedere le fessure dall'alto, basta fare attenzione e indossare scarpe comode perché la ghiaia e la sabbia sono scivolose.

Da lì avrete anche una vista incredibile dell'isola tra Puerto del Carmen e Arrecife.
