The San José Cathedral in Antigua, Guatemala, is a historic church that was part of the old Primate Cathedral destroyed by earthquakes. Built in the 16th century, it underwent several reconstructions due to seismic activity. After the devastating 1773 earthquake, the cathedral was transferred to Guatemala City. In the 19th century, it became the Parish of San José and now stands as a reminder of the city's rich architectural heritage amidst the ruins.
