Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park is an iconic destination in South Australia, boasting ancient and rugged mountain landscapes, peaceful tree-lined gorges and seasonal wildlife. Wandering through this ever-changing landscape, mesmerised by the vibrant colours and wilderness that unfolded before our eyes. From the moment the sun peeks above the horizon, an intense glow of hues dances across the vast expanse of the Australian outback. The ochre red of the earth merges with the burnt sienna of the ancient rock formations, creating a colour palette that stretches as far as the eye can see.

Rugged mountains entwine with layers of soft clouds sweeping across the land. These ancient formations have been shaped over millions of years, with towering peaks and ridges carved by the powerful forces of time and erosion.

Perfect for outdoor adventure lovers, the park offers a range of activities such as bushwalking, four-wheel driving, birdwatching, photography and mountain biking to explore. Facilities such as toilets, showers, campfire areas, caravans sites, BBQs, kiosks and a visitor centre are available to enjoy. Mild temperatures from April to October are perfect for bushwalking and cycling, while the summer months reach temperatures of up to 45°C.
