Cape Race Lighthouse is an active lighthouse with a distinctive white flash every 7.5 seconds. It also has a foghorn that sounds two blasts every 60 seconds. The lighthouse, originally built in 1856 and replaced in 1907, played a significant role in receiving the distress call from the Titanic in 1912. Today, it stands as a tourist attraction and a reminder of its historical importance in guiding ships along Canada's busy shipping lanes.
