Kasugataisha Shrine, located in Nara, Japan, has a rich history dating back over 1,300 years. It was established to promote national prosperity and the happiness of the people. The shrine's iconic vermilion columns and serene atmosphere have remained unchanged since its inception, thanks to regular maintenance ceremonies. With 3,000 auxiliary shrines nationwide and 3,000 lanterns donated by worshippers, Kasuga Taisha is a revered place for prayer and reflection. In 1998, it was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with the surrounding Kasugayama Primeval Forest.
