Stockbridge is a destination in itself, much much more than simply Circus Lane and away, beautiful as this lane is. I’d recommend you allow yourself a day or even two to explore its wealth of treasures. Pictured here is Duncan’s Land, a listed building and part of Edinburgh's World Heritage site. Built in 1790 by an Edinburgh merchant, Duncan’s Land was the birthplace of the renowned 19th Century artist, David Roberts (1796 –1864)
