The BT Tower is an iconic and well-known landmark in London, England. Standing 620 feet high, it is known for its architectural designs created by Eric Bedford in the 1960s. Including a 40-foot mast, it is one of the tallest structures in the south east of England. It was originally used for British Telecom’s telecommunications broadcasts - although it was a popular tourist attraction until 1971. It was closed to the public when terrorists detonated a bomb inside it - however it has been rehabilitated and is now considered a safe spot for visitors.
