Don't miss this serene roadside stop as you pass through Tupper Lake.

Bog River Falls, located along the Bog River (also known as the Raquette River), is a set of picturesque cascades in a remote, tranquil setting. The falls are located just upstream of the point where the Bog River flows into Tupper Lake. The cascades tumble over a series of rocks, making for a very scenic spot, particularly in the autumn when the surrounding trees are in full color.

The falls are accessible via State Route 421. There's a parking area, and from there it's a short walk to the falls.

This area is popular for fishing and paddling. The water around the falls is typically calm, but always exercise caution near the water, especially on rocks that may be slippery. In winter, this is a good spot for snowshoeing and ice fishing.

There are a number of campsites along the Bog River, which are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Always remember to respect nature and follow Leave No Trace principles.
