The Mount Frosty Trailhead in Manning Park provides a unique opportunity for hikers with an adventurous spirit. With the season being limited to between late June and mid-October, hikers should ensure conditions are favourable and be well prepared for quickly changing weather and temperatures. The 22km out and back trail boasts a 1,220m elevation gain and average gradient of 11.10%. Featuring stunning larch forests and ridgelines with incredible views of the valley and mountain itself. The steep scramble up a boulder field to the ridge is the only technical part of this hike providing an extra challenge for those wanting to complete the task. A popular destination in the golden larch season, the peak of Mount Frosty will reward those willing to tackle it with unbeatable alpine scenery and spectacular panoramic views.
