The Rodoviária do Rio is the main bus terminal of the city. This is not the place for public transport in Rio, but more for long connections and buses that will take you outside of town. For example, if you want to do regional trips to Buzios, Arraial do Cabo, Paraty, or even to other states like São Paulo... most likely the bus will leave from here.
