After a day of exploring glaciers and lagoons, we drove east along the coast to Höfn, a charming fishing town known as Iceland’s lobster capital. Its harbor bustled quietly with fishing boats returning from the sea, and the surrounding scenery of mountains meeting the ocean was stunning.

We treated ourselves to a lunch of freshly caught langoustine at a local restaurant. The dish was rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked — a much-needed indulgence after a full day of hiking and sightseeing. Höfn felt cozy and welcoming, a perfect stop to recharge before heading further east.
