Bendalong Bay, often referred to as Boat Harbour Beach or Boat Harbour Bay is a sheltered cove in the coastal village of Bendalong. This shallow bay is the star attraction for its resident stingrays. Primarily smooth stingrays and southern eagle rayys, that glide right up to the shore, drawn by fish scraps from local fishermen.

These gentle giants (up to 2m across) have become habituated to humans over years of interaction, making for one of Australia's most accessible and magical wildlife encounters. The bay's clear, turquoise waters and white sands create a postcard-perfect setting, though it's the rays that steal the show.

They will swim through your legs, "waving" with their wings, and begging for treats.

There has been no reported stings in recent years, but always shuffle your feet to avoid surprises.
