Perhaps the most beautiful view of the Lofoten Islands can be enjoyed from the 436 metre-high summit of Offersøykammen on the island of Vestvågøy. On the steep ascent, you will experience a fantastic panorama metre by metre, with views towards Flakstadøy on the one hand and Leknes and Ballstad on the other. Once you reach the top, you enjoy the view once again and have no idea that the real highlight of the hike is right in front of you: the dream panorama to the north, towards Haukland Beach.

Starting point: You can park directly on the E10 after the Nappstraum tunnel in the free car park. This car park is quite large, so you should be able to find a space at any time of day. Coordinates for Google Maps: 68.1483739, 13.4832676

Route: From the car park, walk along the trail for a few hundred metres until the path bends to the right. From here, the summit and the path to it can be easily recognised, as the first 2 km are only moderately uphill. Shortly after the lake, the path begins to become steeper, so that the last 300 metres of altitude difference through a sparse forest are partly uphill over high ledges. Once you reach the grassy ridge, you follow a well-trodden path, which is bound to be quite muddy when it rains. You still can't see the panorama that awaits you, but at the top you have a great all-round view. However, people with a fear of heights should be careful here. The entire route is not signposted, so make sure you stay on the path.

Difficulty according to Norwegian standards: Blue = medium; hikes suitable for moderately trained hikers with basic hiking knowledge and some experience in the terrain.
