There are many cultural experiences in Rotorua, but Whakarewarewa Village is one of the most memorable places I’ve ever been.

This village is the legacy and home of the Tūhourangi Ngāti Wāhiao people, who have been hosting and welcoming guests into their homes and backyards since the early 1800s.

The entire experience is personal and authentic. You'll learn about their whakapapa, Māori culture and come away with a new understanding of how they use Rotorua's natural geothermal environment for cooking, bathing, and eating.

There are multiple ways to see the village, including an all day pass which costs $110 NZD per adult. I think this is 100% worth the money and absolutely worth looking into if you would like an experience you'll remember forever.
