Portobello Village is located on the Otago Peninsula, about half an hour from the Dunedin city centre. It’s small, and that’s one of the things I like the most about it. It feels like it’s away from the hustle and bustle of busy life and gives you the perfect base to explore beautiful green spaces and places like the Albatross Centre.

You’ll find a range of facilities here, like a communal kitchen and dining area, BBQS, hot showers, laundry facilities and free WiFi. Sites start at $18 per person for unpowered or $20 for powered.

It’s one of the more popular campgrounds in/around Dunedin, so if you’re travelling in our peak season (or in a large group!) I recommend booking as far in advance as possible.
