The Kettle Valley Rail (KVR) Trail runs right through Penticton and this is one of the best sections. It's super close to downtown yet offers incredible views of Okanagan Lake, vineyards and the iconic Penticton sign. The return trip is 5km along a mostly flat path (there are two short hills).

The final destination is a wooden trestle bridge. Fancy a cold beer? Continue another 650m to Abandoned Rail Brewing, which has a lovely family friendly beer garden surrounded by fruit trees and vineyards.
